The area of Cantacuzino in Floresti – Prahova is a very generous location of 130 hectares, with beautiful alleys of chestnut trees and ruins surrounded by kilometers of walls made at the behest of Grigore Cantacuzino and George Grigore Cantacuzino, ‘the Nabob’. An elevated location of this kind requires an event to match. The Carpathian Horse Show proves that it is much more than a branded sporting event. Around the sporting competitions, events related to cultural, social, artistic topics have been developed, as well as recreation areas for children and adults.
In the area of sport, the 2015 event was marked by a grade 3* competition for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016, the section that drew the first athletes from Great Britain, Italy, Belgium, Spain, India, countries that have never competed in Romania before. Many Bulgarian and Romanian competitors took part in various sections for the entire show horse.
And in 2016, the competition will keep the levels of one, two and three stars while conducting National Championship, as well as some classes for beginners.
For this section, a team of specialists from Ireland, UK, South Africa, Belgium, Bulgaria and Romania are working to provide an exceptional horse show.
The “harness” discipline will not lack anything in 2016. Romania is among the top 10 countries in the world in this top class discipline and very impressive. In 2016, we are planning a test for this obstacle route with a view to organizing an international competition in 2017.
Areas for the public and commercial areas will be improved and related events will be supplemented by a section of lifestyle / fashion. Greyhound presentations, vintage cars and carriages with 2 horses will not be missing this time, either.
